Google Maps takes you to the top of Everest and Kilimanjaro
Google Maps takes you to the very top of Everest and Kilimanjaro for the first time. This is the kind of experience you would like to live at least once in your life. To prepare for your ascent to the top of the highest peaks, Google does the tracking for you with Google Maps which gives you the tour.
Google Maps is always pushing the boundaries of exploration. After having undertaken to make you visit the seabed, Google now takes you to the top of the world by making a virtual tour of the greatest peaks in the world accessible in a few clicks. Among the peaks we find Everest on the border between Nepal and China (8848 meters), Aconcagua in Argentina (6962 meters), Kilimanjaro in Tanzania (5892 meters) or Elbrus in Russia (5642 meters ).
You can now walk on these peaks from your computer or your smartphone to discover the world from another point of view. The Google Maps teams took several photos which they stitched together so that we could cover a few meters at these altitudes. The photos do not show the highest points of these mountains as it is very difficult to access them, but we will not spoil our pleasure and thank Google Maps for making these images available.
If you want to go even higher, you will have to train, take your equipment and take photos yourself that you can share with us! Google is not only interested in the earthly paradise and also offers to visit some corners of our Galaxy with “100,000 stars”. We could spend hours on Google Maps exploring the corners of the planet, even if nothing will replace your backpack and your hiking shoes! What do you think of these new places offered by Google Maps?
